The Season’s Signature Gourmet Extravaganza

Assemble with fellow gourmets to indulge in seven sumptuous courses at The Grand Dinner presented at FARM. This impressive new Napa Valley restaurant recently opened by The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort, provides an extraordinary venue for the Season’s Signature Sit-down Gourmet Extravaganza.



The Chefs of Grand Dinner 2007 The line-up of chefs includes Executive Chef Kimball Jones, FARM; Banquet Chef Alejandro Ayala, Meadowood Napa Valley, Host Chef of the 2007 Napa Valley Mustard Festival; Retiring Host Chef Robert Curry, Executive Chef Auberge du Soleil; Executive Chef/Owner Ken Frank, La Toque; Executive Chef Jonnatan Leiva, Jack Falstaff; Executive Chef James Syhabout, PlumpJack Café; and Pastry Chef David Baker, FARM.

Each course pairs a vintner and chef to ensure a perfect marriage of tastes.  Ceja, Domaine Carneros, Etude, Far Niente, Groth, HdV - Hyde Vineyards, Honig, and PlumpJack wines will be presented by the winemakers.

Artist of the Year

Lowell Herrero, Festival Artist of the Year, will be guest of honor at the Grand Dinner.  Vineyard Mustard, the festival’s original artwork (pictured below), will be present for bidding.  Vineyard Mustard was unveiled at Robert Mondavi Winery in November.  The current bid is $42,000.  One half of the final bid will benefit Clinic Olé.

The Grand Dinner will include a reception featuring music, and a Silent Auction of collectible Napa Valley vintages exclusive to auction patrons.  This event for lovers of fine food, wine, and art is limited to 120 guests at $350 per person.

2007 Festival Host Winemaking Family - The Cejas of Ceja Vineryads

Host Chef and Winemaker

Alejandro Ayala, Banquet Chef at Meadowood Napa Valley, a member of Relais and Chateaux, serves as Host Chef of the 14th annual Season of Events, and the Ceja family of Ceja Vineyards serves as Host Winemaking family.  Both Ayala and Ceja families migrated to the United States from Mexico.  Chef Ayala began his career as a dishwasher at Meadowood twenty years ago and members of the Ceja family worked in the vineyards.  Through hard work and determination Chef Ayala and the Cejas have achieved status, respect, and success in their chosen fields.
