Don your finest black tie attire and immerse yourself in great taste at The Awards at COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts on Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m.

Meet Napa Valley's celebrated chefs and winemakers, and champion mustard makers from around the world. Enjoy live music, dancing, merriment, award-winning mustards, original mustard dishes created especially for the occasion, and the finest of Napa Valley vintages.

Chefs will present their original mustard recipes in a blind tasting session as they compete for the title of Napa Valley Executive Chef of the Year. Gene Burns of KGO Newstalk AM 810's Dining Around with Gene Burns, Food Editor Karola Saekel Craib of the San Francisco Chronicle, and Executive Food Editor Margo True of Sunset Magazine will judge the Chef of the Year Mustard Recipe Competition.

As a guest you will be part of the esteemed panel to select the Napa Valley Mustard Festival People’s Choice Chef of the Year. Don't forget to vote!

World Wide Mustard Competition

The deadline for entries was January 19, 2007. Mustards are judged in 19 categories from Sweet-Hot to Classic Dijon. The competition is overseen by Barry Levenson, curator of the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Winners will be notified in February.

Medals for first, second, and third place in each category will be presented at The Awards.

Chefs’ Mustard Recipe Competition

As mustard companies receive their World Wide Mustard Competition medals at The Awards, a panel of food journalists will judge the Executive Chef of the Year Mustard Recipe Competitions in a blind tasting session behind closed doors.

As a guest you will be part of the esteemed panel to select the Napa Valley Mustard Festival People’s Choice Chef of the Year. Don't forget to vote!
