A Season of Sensational Wine Country Events ...
The Napa Valley Mustard Festival celebrates its fourteenth season of sensational events in the year 2007. This two month season, during which fields, vineyards, and hillsides are vibrant with wild mustard in bloom, celebrates the rich, unique agricultural and cultural bounty of Napa Valley - and YOU ARE INVITED! The Mustard Season offers a full palette of food, wine, art, entertainment, and cultural activities staged throughout the world-famous grape growing region from Saturday, January 27, through Saturday, March 31. Mustard the condiment shares center stage with mustard in bloom throughout the season - appearing at events and in mustard recipes, from entrées to desserts. Your Hosts - Host Chef Alejandro Ayala, Meadowood Banquet Chef, Ceja Vineyards, Host Winemaking Family, and Lowell Herrero, Napa Valley Mustard Festival Artist of the Year - invite you to join us! Indulge in art, music, and exquisite foods and wines at Mustard Magic, the opulent grand opening event, at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena on Saturday, January 27; and wrap up the season at The Mumm Napa Photo Finish at Mumm Napa in Rutherford on Saturday, March 31. The season's beauty, captured by photographers who enter the annual Napa Valley Mustard Festival Photography Contest, will be on exhibit.
Savor five sumptuous courses at Romantica with your sweetheart at Meadowood Napa Valley presented by Host Chef Ayala and Host Winemaking family, the Cejas on February 10. Acacia Winery, Cuvaison Estate Wines, and Domaine Carneros will join Ceja Vineyards to present Carneros vintages. Assemble with fellow gourmets to indulge in seven sumptuous courses at The The Grand Dinner presented at FARM on February 23. This impressive new Napa Valley restaurant recently opened by The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort, provides an extraordinary venue for the Season’s Signature Sit-down Gourmet Extravaganza. Limited to 120 guests. Reserve early for Spice!, a gourmet dinner dance to honor Artist of the Year Lowell Herrero at Robert Mondavi Winery on March 3. Take pleasure in each tantalizing bite of the four-course menu presented by Robert Mondavi Winery Executive Chef Richard Haake, paired with Robert Mondavi Winery wines. Salsa performances by Ariel Ceja and friends will add spice to each mustard inspired course – enticing you and your partner to celebrate Spice! on the dance floor. Come prepared for an engaging evening of food, wine, art, music and dance! Meet world champion mustard makers and taste the original mustard recipes of Napa Valley chefs at The Awards on March 16 at COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts. Help choose the 2007 Napa Valley Mustard Festival People's Choice Chef of The Year! Celebrate the season at The Marketplace, the Festival's signature event, at COPIA - The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts in Napa on Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18. Mustards from around the world will be showcased alongside regional food, wine, and art.
